In the present study, the dissolution behavior of the Ag ions from the Agcontaining CaP powders and the sintered compacts was investigated by immersion tests in simulated body fluids. The pH value was adjusted to 11 using an ammonium solution. The phase fractions of the sintered compacts calculated from the XRD patterns are presented in Table II. Ten milliliter of the filtrate was removed and 1 mL of 10-vol% HNO3 solution was added to decrease the pH value of the filtrate below 7 for ICP measurements.
